I started to make the molds for my skulls (see last post) but the molding rubber takes forever to set, so meanwhile I worked a bit on my giant dwarf bust. Seriously!…
It all started when I decided I needed a custom broken statue for miniature bases. The idea was to sculpt a large size dwarf bust, mold it, cast it in plaster and the break it to put the pieces on a diorama.
Then I got carried away, and sculpted so much details in the beard that I’m not sure I’ll be able to make a mold out of it (my skills in that department are limited, at best).
But at the same time, I like that sculpt. So once in a while I still do some retouching and sculpting.
All that to decorate a miniature base: A broken column would have been a lot easier, no? 🙂
By the way, the whole sculpture is about 2 inches tall.
OMG that is amazing!! It looks so good! And the detail in the hair is gorgeous!
So amazingly well done. You should definitely see if you can cast this! 😀
