Ok. Something very different this time. I decided to finish a model that a friend gave me a few… hum… years ago: a 1/144 Narcissus spaceship from the original Alien movie, a model sold by Alcyon eons ago.
My friend had already assembled the model but gave up for whatever reason and gave the kit to me to paint and finish.
I added a few “greeble” here and there (especially on the exposed “machine” area) and detailed the interior (we don’t see it much through the dark windows of the cockpit, but it is better than the over-simplistic original cockpit.)
I also used various very small decals from HO model train wagons to add small area of interest, here and there.
The base supplied with the kit looked flimsy to me, so I made my own base from a shiny black picture frame bought at the Dollar Store and a sheet of plasticard. The label was made in Photoshop and printed on photo paper. It is not glued to the base yet.
Enjoy the pictures!
A picture with a DVD (and my big hand) to give a sense of scale.
And some more pics…
